Taking Care of Long Hair

I don't have long hair any more, but I did for a long time. Here are a few tips to making care for long hair a bit more manageable!

Tip 1: When you wash your hair, ALWAYS condition. Not a 2 in 1, those never work as well as a separate conditioner. While it's sinking into your hair, this is an ideal time to comb out the knots and remove dead hairs, helps with shedding later. Just don't let it clog the drain, make sure to throw it out instead ;)

Tip 2: After all the shampoo and conditioner and whatnot is rinsed out, rinse your hair (NOT YOUR SCALP!) with really cold water, just to finish off. It seals the hair and prevents split ends. Trust me, in over a year I didn't have any. It really works.

Tip 3: Never leave your hair in the towel. It does bad things on a molecular level.

Tip 4: If you can let it air-dry, do.

Tip 5: The less you do to your hair, the better. No one will give you a weird look for not having paper straight hair. In fact, it might suit you better to go for the more natural look, after all it is a made-for-you look!

Tip 6: No one's hair it that shiny. Okay, maybe some, but not most. If you want super fab hair, do not despair, a lot of that is achieved with product. Your hair is likely healthy, even if there's no shine, so if that's what you're going for, you can help it along. Serums are nice, as well as sprays and mousses.

That's it for now, hope this helps!

Thanks for reading, and have a great day!
